MOBILITY
GERMANY
From May 5th to 10th 2019, Erasmus students and teachers came together in Esens/Germany for the second out of four meetings. Following the mission “I have a word to say”, the students focused in particular on the problem of rising populism in many European countries.
After a presentation of definitions and examples of contemporary populism the students had identified in their home countries, they were instructed by an expert on how to counter populism. In order to spread their acquired knowledge, international groups prepared influencer videos and papers summing up the most helpful strategies. Thus, they learnt and practiced–internationally united as a powerful young European generation–how to raise their voices to challenge undesirable political and social tendencies.

Their experience in words:
“The week provided new friendships with amazing people for us. Although the workshop was quite long, we received very helpful information on an interesting and important subject. Our creative work in an international group in the follow-up activities as well as the cool free time activities and the awesome atmosphere during the week completed this enriching, unforgettable experience.”
